I would assume ( whether it is so or not - who knows ! ) that the top mechanism was damaged when the rock hit the mechanism and file a supplement claim w/ your insurance co. (it could be a coincidence that it died at this time) there is also a computer control device that controls the process! I think it's in rear driver side passenger by the rear window area you local Saab god can plug the tech 2 in and diagnose as I understand and sounds like he may have more work to do !(comeback ?) if insurance paid for a new window/top they should pay for it to work correctly ! As a mechanic when you repair something you kind of own it till it's right ! - even if it's not your fault !
