I may be stepping into a minefield here, but it's the turbo cars with the Trionic system and a DI Cassette that are picky about spark plugs. The base model with a distributor and the Motronic system shouldn't be very picky at all about what spark plugs you use because it doesn't use them for sensing ionization of the fuel/air mixture, knock detection, and all of the other fancy tricks that Tronic does with the DI Cassette. You should be just fine using the cheaper NGK plugs.
