t7suite needs a CAN adapter (people seem to like the Lawciel device, there is also the John C combiadapter) so you need to make a minor wiring adjustment to the car. After that, it's just software on a computer with a USB port.
You might be able to see the same thing with a Tech 2, but probably not a generic OBDII scanner. You'd be looking for things like torque request which you can reference to MAF and MAP readings. t7suite should let you see that stuff in realtime in a useful way. I've not done it - my Viggen is stock - but that's the gist.
Do remember that the gauge is inferred from the MAP sensor so not necessarily accurate, but I got the impression you're using a real boost gauge.
