Yes the tripod bearing will just pull out of the cup. If you are getting a vibration under acceleration the cup may be worn and then you would need to pull the "intermediate shaft" with the cup built into it. There was an early bulletin about locating the crimp on the big end of the cv boot. You will want the crimp to be centered on the high part of the cup were one of the bearing rides. If the boot does not look damaged you can just replace the clamp only. I have been repacking these inner tripod bearings for years as a normal maintenance item. Good Luck, Bernie
