Hello,
Yes I have seen this and wish the OEM black one was available. I have not found an aftermarket top that come with the window frame installed like the OEM one. Every aftermarket fabric I have found comes with just and outline of the rear window in the fabric. You have to cut it out and transfer the frame from the old roof. Which means you have to fold and glue the frame into the fabric.
The window itself is reused even with the OEM fabric replacement. Saab has a bunch of clips that clip the frame, window glass, top fabric and headliner fabric together. They work really well but that are tricky to work with at first and it is easy to loose a few. I always get a few extra because they sometimes take of and fly 20 feet or so. A good reason to were safety glasses when performing that part of the job.
The reason I get a new seal to the tonneau cover is that when removing it to change the fabric it is very easy to damage the seal. And that is even more true now that the tops are over 15 years old.
If anyone finds an aftermarket top fabric that comes with the frame installed I would love to know. I have to charge a few more hours for the job now days to cover that time to swap the frame. And I am always concerned that I will find a frame that is damaged and not worth swapping over. Good Luck, Bernie
