Are you getting the car from a Saab dealer? If so, their service department has access to all work done at a Saab dealership. Bit sluggish at idles speed? A tune up (i.e. new plugs, full tank of high octane gas, and oil change) will probably solve all that. Remember if the car has been sitting for a while waiting for a sale, then it has been started and stopped numerous times for various customers....... that's hard on it, but a simple tune up will have it back in shape. The kind of deal, it doesn't sound bad....... but, the 4 cylinder non-turbo is the lowest end of Saabs out. Depends on were you live, but don't hesitate to shop around, believe it or not you can and will find an equally good deal if you decide to wait a little longer. Suggest the seller provide you with all repair work, and a good tune-up. Chances are, he will ante it up to make the sale. Personally, I would look for a turbo, or at least the 6 cyliner SE. You get alot more............leather, more power, climate control, premium sound etc. plus alot of other cool buttons and gadgets. But, if you really like the car then take it and become one of the few, the proud....... the Saabnetters!! Goodluck!
