Your decision should, of course, be based on how much you like the car,
...and how much time you had the boost above at the top of the yellow ;-)
In my opinion, unless you put the car through a lot of hard driving, you should go for it, especially if you did the maintenance (esp. oil change frequency) "by the book" .
The issues with higher-mileage Saabs can be aggravating, but are relatively minor compared to other cars, and do not effect the fundimantially sound nature of the cars - Saabs have a well deserved reputation for lasting for a LOT of miles.
The specific problems with mileage 50K - 150K most frequently can include:
- Power antenna
- Axle/trans seal leak (not as bad as it sounds - about a $700 fix)
- DI cassette
- Shift linkage bushing (5 spd)
With the older NG900 (94-96) there are 2 other notable issues:
- SID display
- Clutch cable (bushing/sleeve)
