I will keep you posted on future developments. We'll probably get the warranty from the dealer or through the Internet, whichever works out.
BTW, if you are keeping any kind of notes on the Saab repair history, I needed to change both battery and SID display on my 98 900' at about 47K (thank God, still under warranty.)
As to the car, I love the performance and the image (and absolutely adore the trunk space!)
I even converted my husband to one of SAAB enthusiasts: being from Israel, he was not really familiar with the car, but now enjoys it as much as I do.

last question: how often does one need to change brake pads, if ever? (the manual is kind of vague)thanks
