It took a long time. My #30 torx key was twisted and wanted to cam out so I had to wait for the wife to come home with one a few hours later. Glad she had the cell phone. So I had time to mend the wiring that the mouse chewed up!! Can't use vinyl electrical tape as its goo will melt. Got some all rubber tape and it vulcanizes to it self, then overcast with black friction tape so it looks very much like stock. As the friction tape dries over time with the engine heat, the ends should be fixed with nylon wire ties. Interestingly, the same tape under the dash does not go dry with heat and time but becomes a gooey mess! The mouse was all over tasting things. One bit left to do. Actualy had some of the teflon wire chewed bare for the O2 senor, and that was after eating through the fiberglass and silicone rubber tube.

So I was up and down the basement steps about 12 times getting things as I worked. So it was probably a 3.5 hour job if that was all that I did. I skined knuckles in the first 5 minutes. The plastic on the fan shroud is sharp. Lots of other scatcheds and skuffs on my arms makes me look like I lost a fight with a cat. The worst is the stiffness from bending over for hours. I don't know how techs can do this for a living.

So with the missing #30 torx bit and wiring and thermostat and flush and vax it took 6 hours. I was quite tired after all of that. But it was a perfect day to be outside wrenching!

Yes I looked in the air box. No nest in there and no evidence of chewing on the K&N.

I had to open up the access in the wheel well to get the belt right. Perhaps the could have been done differenctly to skip that.

Things to watch for. One of the AC pipes had the expansion tank hose rubbing on it and showed a visable flat spot. I used a large wire tie to pull that hose up and away from that. Also the pipe seemed to be contacting the battery tray underneath. Hard to see. I used another tie to secure it in to reduce motion and to pull it away from whatever it seemed to contact when wiggling it.
