Thanks again for this post. I followed it yesterday without problems, but here are three notes from my 2000 9-3 SE. I put them here because this is where people come for brake instructions.
1) In 9-3's the caliper bolts take a 18mm socket, not a 10mm hex (Allen) bit like in NG900's.
2) I found a trick for getting the outboard retention spring back on: bottom hole, bottom recess, top hole, top recess, in that order, with pliers. It will make sense when you're there.
3) Be careful with the spring on the back of the inboard pad that seats in the piston. On my EBC pads I had to bend the tabs in a little after one kept slipping over the outside of the piston. This could tear the rubber piston bellows if you try to force it.
