Regarding the era, it must have been early '70s, didn't think any car older than that. I don't remember kids wearing backpacks then... We've had a Cinema Grill here in Ft Wayne for probably 15 years, complete with local (not local to the grill) microbrew on tap. When this place opened up (in recently closed movie house), I thought this was going to be the next big thing, but haven't seen it expand. From their website, I see this chain has 17 other locations, only 3 west of the Mississippi. For the first 5-10 years, they showed 2nd-run movies, which was fine, since the theater is hardly cutting edge visual or sound. Recently it's been first run, with subsequent higher ticket price.
