Miller's influence on the first two Batman movies, as well as the new one this year, has already been pretty big largely thanks to "Year One". Given the role Superman plays in "Dark Knight Returns", I think we'd need to see a reestablished Superman franchise first. Unless it was taken on by a big name director, I can't imagine a studio would allow the freedom to "do it right" like they were able to do with Sin City. Great adaptations are works of passion, not the shrink wrapped "entertainment as product" so many studios seem to crank out.
