Buying paint help.

What advice do any of you have for buying auto paint? I have to spray a door on my girlfriend's car, a mid 90's Honda. I've located the exact paint color, and some vendors online, but is that necessarily the best way to go? It looks like the original paint was acrylic enamel, and this is what is being sold online, but is a urethane or an acrylic lacquer a better choice for a home sprayer?

Is going to a local auto refinishing shop going to get me better paint, more options, a better price?

I'm excited to get back into this - the last time I painted, Centari 2-stage was state of the art, and things have evolved a ton apparently.
