A good wax will enhance the color and shine but there needs to be something there to begin with. I am not familiar with Adams but it looks like good stuff. 3M has a glaze for dark cars that works great on my 2002 black 9-5. I used to use One Grand canubra but now I am using the new Sonax liquid stuff and they work great. No need to wash in between applications, I don't know if that would lessen the quality of the results.
