Re: I'm buying some equipment what do you think? - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I think you have a great start on the equipment. I use only a orbital buffer to remove the wax and finish with micro-fiber cloths. I have never clayed my Saab as I use 3M's Perfect Glaze to remove swirls and small scratches--this is more of a chemical process that works very well. I have tried many many waxes over the decades or so and have found the new Turtle Ice to last the longest with a brilliant shine. I do use Meguire's cleaner wax after the 3M product (sometimes)and before the Ice wax--all done by hand. It takes a lot longer but I don't have any swirl marks to speak of.
