Not as completely untrue story as you might think.
It is true that it is a made up language, but so is all the other ones in the world. It has structure, verbs, nouns, grammar, and everything else needed to be a true language. If Ebonics can be considered a true language, Klingon is right up there also. English has the rules it does because someone somewhere says it does and we agree. If a number of people wish to start talking Klingon, then so be it. Unlike most countries, we have no legal “official” language in the US and no laws saying any are illegal.
With that said, I have problems using few languages I know now, so will not be learning Klingon anytime soon.
