In what way is the concept car a blending of wagon and hatch? The beauty of the Saab hatches has been that the cars look like sport sedans, function like sedans (a secure trunk) but have the utility of a wagon when it is needed. This concept looks like a wagon.
Scott: if they aren't going to produce this car soon, is there a 9-3 wagon or hatch of some sort planned within a year? It is a gaping hole in the product line, especially for a brand that built is reputation on utility. I would think many Saab hatch owners who are coming off lease are being forced to look at the A4 wagon, 325xi wagon, etc. (The Impreza/9-2 will be much smaller and compete in a different segment).
