Hey All,
I am heading off to Tokyo in a couple of weeks. I am going to be there for a week (before heading to Beijing and Hong Kong). Part of the time I will be staying with a friend in Gunma Province (I hear there are a lot of rice patties), but I will be in Tokyo for about 4 days on my own.

For anyone who as been there, can you suggest reasonable accommodations while in Tokyo? I have found a couple of websites that list hostels and I plan to check the Lonely Planet book at the bookstore tomorrow for more suggestions. I really don't know what part of the city I should look to stay in or what is reasonable to pay. Keep in mind that I am a recently college grad, so I am somewhat price sensitive and I am willing to share a room, etc.

Secondly, I have a guidebook that I will be my companion while in Tokyo. Are there any places I should be sure to visit while there? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
