This scammer says he is in the UK

I posted an ad stating that I was offering my cat for free to a good home. I received an email a week later stating this:

Hello seller, This is alex,i am highly interested in purchasing the (1 year
old female cat) you have for sale so i want you to get back to me with the
; Last asking Price........... Resent Pics........... Present
Condition......... However i will like to tell you that my mode of payment
is based on certified cashier check drawn from us bank adn i have a
reputable shipping company that will be coming for the pick up after the
payment might have been delievered to you. Thanks...

I was rather confused because I was not asking for money for my cat, we are in the military and just couldn't take her with us. I lied to the person and said that we were asking $200 for her just to see what the response was. This is what I said:

Hi Alex,

I'm confused as to what you are talking about. Shipping the cat? Where are
you located? Our asking price is $200. The cat is very healthy, she has
all of her shots.

Thank you

He responded with this:

thanks for the urgent response , am located in uk , my shipping company will come for the pick up of the cat ok make sure you keep proper care of the cat for me , and for the payment you can send me your name and address for the issuring of the check so that the payment can be sent to next week on tuesday .

I thought this was a really wierd email and I was concerned that this person just wanted my cat to do experiments on. I copied and pasted his email address only to find this website. I shocked as to what I found. I have never been involved with a scammer before. Is there anything that I can do to expose this person? He is still waiting my response.
