Looks like the recent NE ice storm has FINALLY pushed the idea of a generator for our rural home thru the Finance Committee. We dodged a bullet ...this time... but many of my wife's coworkers as well as tens (hundreds?) of thousands here in the NE weren't so lucky. Anyway, I'm prepared to invest in a permanent standby unit and was hoping the all-knowing members of this fine establishment could point me to someplace these things are discussed, reviewed, compared, b!^ched about, etc. Of course, personal viewpoints and experiences welcome as well.
