I had gotten my driveway redone 3 years ago. The people came, did their job, and left. They said they would come back to fix a couple of things on it that weren't properly finished, and did not come back. We called them again, they said they'd be back in a couple weeks, but again they did not come back. The driveway was certainly not done at best, as a short period of time later, it began to crack etc...and we phoned thme a last time, but did they did not come back, as by now it was winter, everything was full of snow...
They never came back, and 3 years later they are here demanding $4000. I refuse to pay someone this amount of money, after what I've been through, I think it's silly. Did I do something wrong? They are now showing me that on the contract, if there was something defective in their job, then it needed to have been sent to them in a letter format, which little did they inform. This is unfortunately on the contract.
They are now back, after the warranty is over. How nice of them. In any case, what can you guys tell me? What should I do? Can I/ Should I take them to a small claims court? (I've never done that) Do I have grounds for argument?
Thanks for sharing your input fellow Saabers.
