I used to sell cameras for a living. Mainly medium format, Hasselblad especially. I used to shoot Contax+Zeiss, but switched to Canon for the autofocus (shooting mainly motorcycle roadracing). WHen I went digi, I went Canon. Have had Sony (was a good one, actually , but hate memory stick) and Panasonic (lovely lens, crap low-light) and am back to Canon. I have a S3is, and LOVE it. The image stabilizing is great. It's a bit large for some, but being able to rack out to 420mm is fun. Could have a better wide though. Canon is consistanly the best comprimize across the board. Some others do certain things better, but Canon is the best all-around package..
