Michelin's are good tires but over-priced. You can easily get a high quality performance tire with equivalent (or better) treadwear for less than you'd pay for a comparable set of Michelin's. Last year I bought a set of Yokohama Avid W4S to replace some Michelin Pilot sports. The Yokos are every bit as good as the Michelin's (and quieter) for a much more reasonable price. The same goes for a set of General Altimax HPs I put on one of my Volvos to replace a set of Michelin Primacy MXV4's. Bottom line is read the customer reviews on Tire Rack before you buy.... Both the General's and the Yoko's are highly rated by actual customers....
