Not that I think GM is the only company that makes good cars, or that it was a wise thing for Saab to have been sold to them. I haven't bought another Saab since my 9000 Aero. With modifications, it was one of the best family sedans I've ever owned. I knew that when GM took full ownership, it was only a matter of time and recent events confirmed my suspicions.

I had been driving a Chevy pick-up for 7 years - ever since I sold my '98 CSE w/the B234R engine. I got tired of driving the truck everywhere and decided to buy another car that was as fun to drive as the modified 9000. My new car doesn't have as elegant an engine management system and it still uses push-rods. But the brakes are an improvement, as is the weight/horsepower ratio. I'm sure it doesn't have the safety record that the 9000 had, but it is even more fun to drive - I'm in my 60's but when I drive my "new"/used vehicle, it feels exactly the same as when I was younger and used to race go-karts...
