We get it in our local paper - Click and Clack, the tappet brothers. Anyway, a writer says his dad's '03 Saab (no model given) had a failure that would not allow the driver's door to be opened from the inside or outside. Sounds like the lock actuator, right? The car had been sitting at the dealership for 6 weeks while they waited for parts to become available. Click and Clack advised him to take his car back from the dealership and then have someone cut a hole in the door, so he can work his door lock that way. That's it. I know they're mechanics, but I guess they gave that up to become comedians. Basically, their attitude was that it's an old (!) car, probably a POS anyway, and either you drive it with a hole in the door or junk it.
