As most people have probably been told, always have the better tires on the drive wheels. If its front wheel drive, put them on the front, rear... etc.
And of course its best to have even wear all around, but if you already have some not so great tires, doesn't putting them on the front just kill them even faster? This seems like it would be fine if you always buy tires in two's, but bad if you are trying to keep even wear.
Thoughts on this?
Also, playing devils advocate, if someone buys 2 snow tires, you are saying to put them on the back? I get that it might help braking, but it will do nothing for starting and maneuvering.
