Probably I'm starting missing your point (too much of English at 1:53 AM). Sorry if that's the case.
Once again: in that accident it was the rear axle which did not forgive me my other mistake (engine braking on drifting fwd car). And it was also the tire thread (and general tire oxidation) since I was going on a wet road. And I believe that should I swap the tires front to rear and rear to front, my chances not to perform that circus would be much greater.
I spent 1.5 years learning and analyzing that accident. I'm not joking, I really did. And I believe I have finally broken it down and analyzed completely.
Nevertheless, I'm glad to both concluded that is much worse to loose directional control (if a case one goes spinning) than to loose brakes, but keep the ability for directional control. Since if one goes spinning, it has lost everything. If ones front tires go skid on breaking, he/she still has something.
