grotesquely over-engineering the car. I don't have a problem with it as an option (could have got it on my wife's Nissan Versa if I wanted to order it), but still seems rather silly.
All of this so you don't have to reach into your pocket and fumble with your keys. A perfect design for a society that thinks it needs to buy all of its water in bottles or stand in line every day for a $5.00 cup of coffee
I also wonder about all of these sensors durability over time and potential repair costs a decade down the line. I guess we are not engineering our cars to last any longer than 5-10 years anymore, right?
