NYC area commute

Anyone in the tri-state area know the most efficient way to commute from Stratford CT to Jersey City (Exchange Place)?

I'll be moving to Stratford (near the Metro North station), and a company I thought had an office in NYC is actually in Jersey City. Is there any way to do this in a remotely reasonable amount of time during normal daily commuting times 8-ish to 5-ish?

The train from Stratford to GCT alone is 80-90 minutes, so this might be tough.
