That jack lifts fine but won't stay up even with no load and now leaves a spot of fluid from one of the shafts. Came on suddenly last week. Jack was rock solid for close to 30 years. The problem started when I got a 3/4 ton Dodge diesel pick-up. The other jack is Vulcan which I think is from the eighties. AFAIK it was a quality product that was on line with Snap-on. Same deal. Was OK with cars but the truck pushed it's limits. Not as nice to use since it's the heaviest 2.5 ton jack I've seen. If I could find a source for the seal kits I have a retired mechanic friend who know how to rebuild them. No one around here in the hydraulic business seems to want to touch jacks because of liability.
