Well I can toss out two ideas...
1) Another set of CSW speakers! I've kind of been hoarding them... I love the sound and haven't heard anything newer and affordable that comes near. My favorite of theirs if you have the space is the "Microworks" system but they're a bit hard to come by. The "soundworks" system is also good and much more plentiful. And harder to find with a web search because the dummies named the product the same as the company. ;^)
2) Do you have a stereo nearby? If the stereo has an "aux" input, you can just cable it to the computer and get your sound from the stereo speakers which most likely will give you all the sound quality and volume you could ever want. Or... I'm not sure what it takes to make this work on a Mac but on a Windows machine you can get a little USB Bluetooth dongle for the computer (or if it's a laptop it's probably built-in) then get a "bluetooth audio receiver" like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IQBSW28/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00IQBSW28&linkCode=as2&tag=thesaabnetwork. Hook the audio receiver to the stereo, and you can pipe audio to it from the computer wirelessly.
