Trying to source ATE part number from a Saab part num Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Thu, 23 Jun 2016 22:10:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I need to get the rebuild kit and the one I got from eeuroparts is crap. It's from ProParts Sweden.
I wanted to get the ATE original one, which is the manufacturer for the GM/SAAB part. You can see it in the picture below.
They're very expensive from Saab parts (~45 bucks per side...90 total). I bet I could get them directly from ATE for a heck of a lot cheaper. The Saab part is 4778262 and from the picture, it's clearly and ATE part. Thoughts? I'll keep searching away.
Yes, I know rebuilt calipers are very cheap, but I live in Canada and it would be a pain. And, it's just a small tear from when I replaced the brake pads. They are Viggen calipers that are powder coated, so I want to keep them.
