I had a 2001 base 9.3 and it did not come with DexCool. Saab was still using the blue stuff.
But there's a lot of coolant stuck in there when you drain. I'd take out the T-stat & run water through it from a garden hose (completely get rid of the DexCool). One good thing is the dye in DexCool is pretty tenacious so you'll know when it's all gone.
Then from there, do a couple drain/fill cycles with distilled water. Getting rid of minerals from tap water is a lot less critical than getting rid of DexCool. When you do a final drain, you'll need I think a bit more than 1 gallon of antifreeze in order to get 50/50.
