Aluminum alloy oxidizes subtly, and may not show signs on the outside of the wheel, but the interface between the wheel and the bead of the tire can and does oxidize, making a bumpy surface that can leak some air. This leads to lower air pressure in the tire, and once it get below a threshold, it all leaks out. Cure is to take it to a tire shop and have them grind down the interface areas (both sides) of the rim, and remount the tire using some bead sealant.
That said, some cars with Low Rolling Resistance tires, like our previous Chevy Volt with Goodyear Assurance tires, can have this problem for no obvious reason other than the rubber on LRR tires is harder and doesn't contact the rim as well.
