Adventures in appliance land. - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
Sometimes we discuss appliance repair, plumbing and other urban survival skills and lessons learned.
I was passing on a good 17 yo Maytag laundry pair and decided to renew the dryer belt and rollers first. Was running fine. I skipped on the OEM dryer drum rollers for after-market. What could be different? The rubber on the new rollers is too soft and takes a cold set from drum weight, like nylon tires flat spotting in the garage. So the dryer now makes more noise than before. After running for a while, the roller smooth out, quite a disappointment as I wanted a much different outcome.
