There is definitely variance with utilities. Our Fiat 500e cost $0.08/kwh.
I would take a car that has a full charge every morning over a car that interrupts my commute with a stop at the gas station any day of the week. Not having to interrupt travel with fuel considerations was one of the *best* aspects of having the EV. I know taking the plug off the hook and sticking on the receptacle every night is a hassle, but I'm all in favor of routinizing tasks instead of having to keep track of if and when I have to do things.
