Wow, MI is crazy. Of course my State (I'm not saying to protect the guilty) isn't much better.
Here, the delivery guys (be they Home depot, Lowes or whatever doesn't matter) don't hook up anything. You have to have a licensed plumber or electrician.
Basically, I unhook everything and have it waiting for them to pick up and cart off.
I think on my set up, I purchased an addition ball valve and had it installed next to the flexible gas line. At Home Depot, I heard "you can't install this (flexible gas line) yourself. I said "why you selling it to me"?
Don't these people know were Saab owners, able to maintain 25+ yr old cars on a dime?
