Venza, although a Toyota would likely have poor resale value - which I think is a consideration for the poster.
The 4runner is somewhat unique in it's characteristics - truck frame, high clearance, rugged off road capability - a throwback to when most SUVs were made that way and it's decent on paved roads as well. The Nissan Xterra was in some ways similar but now no longer made.
4Runners still sell very well, in some ways I'm wishing I would have bought one but if you rackup miles fuel cost is not good and it's a pretty cramped cabin with not a huge amount of seat adjustment room.
