Of all the Electric and Hybrid Vehicles currently offered for sale, only nine can travel further than 100 miles on a charge. Only four can travel further than 200 miles on a charge. Of those four, three are Teslas. I checked the lease cost for a Tesla X and it is more than what I would want to pay and it is limited to only 10K miles per year - although that would work for my wife's needs.

I was shocked at the number of vehicles limited to under 30 miles on electric propulsion!

The other surprise when doing quick research is that a 15a 120 VAC power source, such as a quick refresh charge at a friend's or relative's home, will only provide 15 miles of range per hour of charge. Worse yet, the 15 miles/hour is considered an optimistic estimate.
