What is your take on Autonomous Vehicles?

This is for a project I am working on. There is a lot of info out there but I find it more interesting to hear from "car people," especially people like those on Saabnet because this is an interesting and thoughtful bunch? I'd love your input and thoughts on any or all of the questions below.
So OK.... AVs (autonomous vehicles) aren't really ready for prime time, but that day is approaching. For example, the Tesla S has some limited autonomous driving capabilities, and new Audi A8 will have some too. They are limited, but they showcase what can be done.
Have you ever used any of the "baseline" autonomous capabilities of a car, such as parallel parking or adaptive cruise control that bases its actions on vehicles around you?
AVs will probably first be used in some urban settings and urban highways. This can work because urban areas can contain lots of sensors which the AVs will depend on. Would you use an AV in these settings?
Other than in bad weather conditions, where would you NOT want to rely on an AV?
Thinking generally (not for your own uses) what do you see as the positives and negatives of AVs ?
What do you see as the barriers to market entry and adoption?
If you envision yourself using an AV, and how would you do so?
Once there are , say, a dozen largely autonomous models available for purchase, do you think people will begin buying AVs mainly because they have AV capabilities?
And... if AVs were to become common for taxis, Ubers, etc., would you use an AV or wait for a car driven by a human?
If you prefer, email me directly at brimstonehill1 at gmail dot com.
Thanks!
