Bob, thanks for asking.
The car is my 75 EMS which I bought in 79 out of a junk yard for $1000, it was hit in the front , I had a body shop then so I repaired and painted and drove for many miles, it had 19,000 when I bought it now somewhere around 150,000 - 170,000. I remember after I painted it I was looking at the shape in the shop and it looked fat from a profile so I got a roll of tape and took all afternoon to tap up a stripe design that gave it a thinner look. I think the stripe actually gives some movement as it is lighter in the front than the back. A header was added and that is the only performance up grade to the motor, suspension has Koni ,Intrax springs, rear sway bar and strengthened front top shock mounts.Ronal R10 Turbo wheels with Michelin tires were then mounted along with a trunk lip rubber spoiler.A few years later I got a Hot Rodder with a louver pounch to punch 4 rows of louvers to let heat out and it also gives it a better look. The next thing was a 5 speed but the motor has never been opened up since I have owned it. No driven much now just some short drives and to car cruises , cars and coffee and things like that, but the car is fun to drive even though it does not have big power but the lightness and handling are what it is about. Always draws a crowd especially the young who shock me as they know what the car is and the wheels and sometimes upsets the Lambo owners when it draws more people than their mega car. It was my first Saab and I still own , no plans to sell.
The image was taken in front of my new garage which is mostly done , the dog is our LeeRoy he is the fourth Lab that we have had , he is 9 .
Images of him are in many calendars and he endorsed different pet foods he lives to run and dive. He goes many places with my wife and myself , was at a bar the other night that allows dogs a girl came up and was all over him , she looked up at me and asked is his name "Heartbreak " ????
Yes he has a face to die for.
You can see more on these subjects on the Video which was shot last Fall.
