Several years ago while searching on Saabnet I found a one of a kind, a dream Saab if you will. It was a 1993 900 Turbo in Ruby Red (like the Carlsson's, not offered in North America) with lowered suspension and the Comm Ed engine package. A custom European factory delivery it was also fitted with a custom black leather interior. After returning to the states the original owner fitted Konis and further upgraded the engine.
The seller had acquired the car through a divorce, after her husband had purchased it from the original owner. After a brief conversation I offered to meet her asking price of $8K and to overnight a cashiers check as escrow. I told her I would call again when I had made arrangements to fly out in a few days. Two days later my check was returned with a note explaining that she decided to sell the car to another buyer because I didn't have a garage to protect the car.
While I may have had legal recourse, I am inclined towards mutual agreement between parties, as was the case when I found Blacksheep, my '93 Comm Ed.
But I wonder sometimes where that car ended up...
