Ship one to your Daughter in NZ - I'm serious Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Mon, 25 Jun 2018 04:33:58 In Reply to: Beginning to thin the herd, Noel, Sun, 24 Jun 2018 08:56:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
At the Saab Show I hosted last summer here in Michigan, I met a fellow who was immigrating to the US from Australia. He owns a pristine C900, one of the rare ones with the sail panel windows, and he was having it shipped from Australia to Michigan.
Naturally I asked about the process, including cost, and he told me bits and pieces. He purchased a Seatainer in Australia, installed wheel blocks to secure the car, installed built-in storage racks above the hood for holding personal property, loaded the car completely with other personal property, and the car was enroute. Cost was $3500, not sure if this was Australian or US dollars.
New Zealand is a different country with different rules and regulations but the distance and method would be the same, and from my past internet sleuthing the used car prices in NZ and Australia are through the roof compared to here in the US.
