Here's the deal - a hacker has a breached web site's email/password file and your email address and password were in the file and now you've gotten an extortion email. So, if your email is john@xmail.com and your password is 24sixeight10, you get an email with subject: john - 24sixeight10. If the pair is johnsmith@xxmail.com/123passme, the subject is the: johnsmith - 123passme. The scammer says he knows your password and has installed a keylogger on your system and has used your webcam to take an incriminating video that he will share with all your contacts/Facebook contacts unless you pay some sum. The scammer has not installed any malware (run Avast on your system to see) and does not have any video or your contacts. You can just ignore the email. Also, the poor writing is another giveaway. A real pro hacker would take the time to write a decent email, imho. Below is the example email (this hacker is using the outlook.com public email service)
