After I took those legendary Dunlop snow tires off my Viking rims ( see earlier post on a different topic) I used Wurth silver and top coat from Euro. After 3 winters, basically flawless which I find hard to believe. I don't think I used primer but lightly sanded the existing surface down a bit and body filled some imperfections.
