Actually, I believe the Regal TourX is much more Opel based as it uses the E2 or E2XX platform (revised/updated or next generation Epsilon II) developed mostly by Opel. In additional to Regal, models using the E2XX platform include Chevrolet Malibu, Holden Commodore, Opel Insignia, and Cadillac XT4. The Saab 9-5 used the older Epsilon II platform and the Saab 9-3 used the even older Epsilon I platform. The TourX transmission is made by Japanese company Aisin Seiki.
