I drove a Penske truck (pretty big one, not sure of the exact size, I'm old) across the country in the late 70's. I hauled my furniture and a shipment of expensive ceramic birds, thanks to an arrangement by my college roommate. Went with another friend. Good memories all around. The truck was pretty new, but we did have one problem: the speedometer died somewhere in the flat Midwest. We found a Penske center (this was pre-internet, remember) and they fixed it overnight. Saab content: I had my '74 900 combi waiting for me in DC at the end of the trip. I had always felt that the steering on that car was heavy (unboosted). When I got out of the truck to drive the Saab, man, it had power steering! The truck gave me muscles. Like I said, good memories. Good luck with your move, Rod!
