All of the auto magazine reviews which I have read have given the new C class rave reviews and comments like "M-B finally has a worthy competitor to the BMW 3 series." Despite being a former BMW 3 series owner (before I say the Saab light!), I have the impression that M-B has a better reputation for standing behind its products (unlike BMWs track record on the head bolts on my 3 series and the infamous timing cover gasket which enables one to instantaneously lose one's engine coolant). The new C class is competitively priced with the 3 series (but not with the 9-3 in terms of standard equipment), and should be light years more successful that its predecessor model.
