I just happened to check out the Volvo S60 website, and I found it rather uninspiring. The section that I found to be the worse was the "Compare" section. It was my understanding the the S60/V70 was more equaled to the 9-5, but not as far as Volvo was concerned. I was checking the specs between the S60 and the 9-3, and the S60 has almost nothing on the 9-3, except for the price; the Volvo was much cheaper than the 9-3. But, when I went through and "Designed My S60", I found the price to come out to well over $30K for a base model with similar option to a 9-3. What's with this? For "my" generation (the internet/electronic gen.) I find websites to be extremely useful in getting quick, ACCURATE information, and I tend to base my opinion mostly on the info from that site. What do other people think?? I've found other sites to be equally... scary I guess I would say. For example, if you go to Mercedes-Benz, the sites wants you to believe that if you buy a MB, then you'll be elevated to the level of beautiful, rich, young people who rival the gods. It's a bunch of crap if you ask me.
I guess I'm looking for people's opinion's about how useful are manufacturer's websites in coming up with an opinion of a vehicle. Of course, there is no substitute for a careful, thorough test drive, but that's not always possible!
(BTW, I have honestly found Saab's website to be one of the most straight forward, honest, and sometimes a bit confusing websites out there)
