9000 repair manual?

My friend needs a repair manual to cover basic stuff for her '86 9000T.
However, no manuals seem to be published for the 9000. Supposedly Haynes sells one, but it's not listed on their website.
How similar is the 900 and 9000? Enough to use the 900 manual?
And why the heck isn't there a 9000 manual or at least a combined 900/9000 manual?
Thanks
James
